Check spelling in messages
The full version of Windows Live Hotmail automatically checks your spelling as you type. Misspelled words are underlined in red.
- To correct a misspelled word, right-click it, and then select an alternative spelling from the list.
- To ignore all instances of a particular word that's marked as a misspelling in a message, right-click the word, and then click Ignore All.
- To add a word marked as a misspelling to the dictionary, right-click the word, and then click Add to Dictionary. The word is not marked as misspelled again.
- To turn off the spell check feature, in the compose window, click Spell check on, and then click Spell check off.
