Create a new account

You can sign in to Windows Live Messenger with a Windows Live ID, Windows Live Hotmail, or Windows Live Spaces account.

To create a new account:

At the bottom of the Windows Live Messenger sign-in window, click Sign up for a Windows Live ID.
Follow the on-screen instructions.

Tip

If you've forgotten your password, click Forgot your password? at the bottom of the Messenger sign-in window, and then follow the on-screen instructions.

Note

If you already have an account, but have problems signing in, visit the Windows Live ID website.
