Search the Internet

Windows Live Toolbar appears at the top of your Windows Internet Explorer browser window and contains a search box that you can use to carry out Internet searches. You can also filter the type of websites to search depending on what you're looking for.

To search the Internet:
  1. Start Internet Explorer.
  2. On the left side of Toolbar, in the search box, type a search term, and then click the search icon Search.
To filter a search:
  1. Start Internet Explorer.
  2. On the left side of Toolbar, in the search box, type a search term, and then click the down arrow icon Filter search.
  3. Click a filter on the list.
To set search options:
  1. Start Internet Explorer.
  2. Right-click anywhere on Windows Live Toolbar, and then click Toolbar Options.
  3. Click Search and add-ins.
  4. Select the options that you want, and then click OK.
To translate the content in a webpage:
  1. Start Internet Explorer.
  2. Navigate to the website that you want to view in translation, and then click the Translate this page button Translate this page.
Note

If you can't see the button that you want on Toolbar, click the overflow button Overflow. If you still can't see the button that you want, it may be hidden or not installed. For more information, see Add Windows Live Toolbar buttons.
